helmet: check. Ice climbing partner... MIA.

This
weather we are getting makes me want to cry. I learned to climb ice before I
learned to climb rock back up in the great white north (Montreal River Harbor, Canada)
and since I’ve been down here in NC I find myself really missing it. Now that
we have some whispers of ice in western NC, I am frustrated that I had not
planned to go hit it up when the opportunity presented itself. I don’t want to
make that mistake again… I want to get back on some ice. So, I’m looking for
some Triangle area ice climbers. I’ll tag along, lead, follow, pack mule,
whatever… but, if you climb ice and are planning to this season (what’s left
anyway), post below. I don’t know where else to start and if there’s an ice-climbing
forum, blog, group, or coffee hangouts somewhere else around here please point
me in that direction.
