This climbing season started off with a generous out pouring of gifts for the CCC!  Over the course of a weekend two grass roots fundraisers generated $600 benefiting the CCC. 

     Sean Cobourn selflessly donated his time at the Guest Appreciation Festival (GAF) at the NOC by selling used climbing ropes to boaters and other as tie down accessories for there gear.  Sean literally carried a truck load of used climbing cords to GAF and sold 'em out quick scoring the CCC a cool $300!

     In Brevard, The Brevard Rock Gym, Looking Glass Outfitters and Looking Glass Realty threw a humdinger of a Fall Climbing Party bringing out over 60 folks and netting the CCC $300 on entry donations and raffle ticket sales.  There was pizza, beer, wings from Dugans Pub, a climbing comp and generally merriment as climbers from all over WNC attended to show their support for the CCC.  A last minute American Alpine Club prize pack arrived courtesy of Lisa Hummel the S.E. Regional Coordinator. 

A big thank you to all that donated ropes, cash, and volunteer hours to both these events!  Keep up the good work and keep on climbing!
