Satisfaction Remier a Success

Tuesday April 7th, almost 90 people crowded the long hallway at the entrance to the Dragonfly theatre in Boone to see the Remier of Duston Chambers movie about the college climbing experience highlighting some of Boones strongest locals, Jon Glassberg and Nate Draughn.

Amongst a cast of many others, Jon and Nate stand out to show the challenges they faced as college students/climbers or is it climbers/college students. The folks who came were treated to a slideshow movie of Pat Goodman's most recent adventures in India, and a series of short films by Charlotte-based filmaker, Jordan Shipman.

 

All were treated to a really stacked raffle from our generous sponsors: LaSportiva, Evolv, Misty Mountain, Project Holds, the Triple CrownBouldering Series , Big Up Productions, Mountaineers Books, Metolius and Mountain Hardware. Again, a big thanks goes out to all of these companies and organizations. Collectively over the past years their generous donations have helped to generate almost $100,000.00 for the Laurel Knob Acquisition.
 
The Satisfaction event helped to raise over $300.00 for the CCC. 

Again, a big thanks goes out to Sheri Baker and Dragonfly Theater of Boone, Dustin Chambers, Jon Glassberg, Nate Draughn, Clay Hefner (for spinning some tunes), Pat Goodman, Jordon Shipman and Charles Morris for putting on a great show and helping to raise some loot for the CCC.Â
