Saturday February 27th, the Appalachian State University Climbing Team hosted the 6th Southern Comfort Bouldering Competition. This years mission was to support the CCC and the purchase of the Rumbling Bald West Side Tract. Saturday was a great day for a comp in Boone. We had freezing temperatures and snow (again)! Over 63 competitors showed up from Appalachian, Brevard College, ETSU, UNC, WCU High Point University and University of Tennessee Chattanooga. 

After three sessions: the following came out on top!

After the awards ceremony and raffle, ASU Climbing Team President, Tootsie Jablonski presented CCC volunteer, Dalton Hilfinger, with a check for $700.00. Tootsie said, "We are really thankful for the work that the CCC does and excited to be given such a great opportunity to give back". We really appreciate Tootsie and the climbing teams effort not only for the extremely generous contribution, but also for putting together a great event and being such great representatives of the App State Climbing Community, Go Apps!
