Conservation Alliance Grant

We're honored to be one of the recipients of a Conservation Alliance grant for 2017. The $35,000 grant will go towards the Buckeye Knob acquisition and will make a huge dent in our initial fundraising. Conservation Alliance also supported the Laurel Knob acquisition with a $30,000 grant in 2005 and we're thrilled to have their support again. The connection between recreation and conservation is increasingly becoming an important part of overall land protection strategies in the U.S. and this grant is an example of how that can work for everyone's benefit. Buckeye Knob is a wonderful place, not just as a bouldering destination, but as an important part of the watershed and forest ecosystem in the area. Thanks to Conservation Alliance for their support!
