2012 CCC Fall Meeting
The fall meeting of the CCC was held on Friday, October 5th at 7:30 PM in the Foscoe community center. The turn out was very good with around 80 people present. See the attached document for the full run down of everything that was presented including ara updates, but here are the highlights:

Inaugural meeting of the Friends of Chimney Rock State Park
The CCC has been informed by Superintendent Wallace that the Friends of Chimney Rock State Park will have their very first meeting on Thursday, March 1 from 6-8 PM at the Lake Lure Town Hall. We encourage all climbers in the area to make time to attend this meeting. Thursday will be a great time for us to turn out in force and remind the park as well as the local community that we are, after all, the root cause of CRSP's existence.
The town hall facility is at 2948 Memorial Highway, Lake Lure, NC.
Hound Ears Comp Wrap Up
This years Hound Ears may have been the best yet. The weather started out sketchy during the early week but suddenly made a turn for the better providing perfectly sunny, cool and beautiful conditions.
Friday night, we had another big turnout for the CCC's fall public meeting. A full wrap up of the meeting will be coming soon. We began the sale of the new Save Rumbling Bald T-shirts from Friksn. Leo, Justin and the crew at Friksn did a fantastic job of designing these shirts. They are now available on our website for order!

Spring 2010 CCC Public Meeting
This general meeting was held February 27, 2010 at 6:00 PM in La Strada Bar & Grill in Lake Lure, NC.

Whether you enjoy the awesome routes or the high-quality boulders, do some tuggin and then come join us for some food and drinks at La Strada restaurant @ 6:00pm in Lake Lure for the Spring Meeting of the CCC and a slideshow from Shannon Milsaps.

South Carolina Climbers: A Call to Arms!
For those of us who call the Palmetto State home, NC tends to have our “home crags” with Crowders Mountain, Rumbling Bald and Pisgah often less than a few hours drive. Despite SC possessing its own equally impressive cliffs and boulders, many of them are off limits or at best “sensitive” due to ambiguous or unspecified rules governing their use.
As we all know climbing and especially bouldering are becoming ever more popular and bringing much needed economic support to our states’ rural areas. The time is right to seize on this momentum and advocate for SC's own resources.
To really ignite our cause, I’m calling for all fellow South Carolinians to please attend the CCC Spring Meeting Saturday, February 27th @ Lake Lure.
Spring CCC Meeting for the General Public
The CCC will be having our spring meeting on February 27th in Lake Lure, NC. This meeting is open to the general public. So please reserve the date on your calendar. Heck, bring your neighbor. This will be a great chance to send some of the classic boulder problems we now own.

Fall 2009 CCC Meeting
Friday October 2nd, the CCC held its 14th annual public board meeting at the kickoff event for the 7th Triple Crown Bouldering Competition. A big thank you goes out to Jim Horton, Chad Wykle and the Triple Crown Bouldering Competition for providing us with such a nice venue to host our public meeting.
