Linville Gorge's Table Rock is an iconic and historic climbing destination. With over 400 feet of prominence standing over Linville Gorge, climbers have frequented Table Rock since the 1950's. Table Rocks 100+ multi-pitch routes truly shine in the beginner to moderate level, making the area a great instructional and group climbing arena. In 2021, a Forest Service approved  NEPA study passed, making it possible for us to work on the sustainability of the climber access trail. In 2022, the CCC, Access Fund, and Wild South began making on-the-ground plans for a full rehabilitation of the base trail. With your help, we now hope to get to work!

Total Amount

Funds will be used to hire the Access Fund Conservation Team and CCC's C4 Team of trail professionals to;

1. Close and restore un-authorized social trails

2. Create a sustainable climber access trail for Table Rock routes

3. Install stone staircases, retaining walls, and erosion control devices

4. Harden climbing route staging areas

5. Engage volunteers and local organizations to assist in stewardship tasks
