Come learn the ropes and support a great cause! 

 

Rock/ Movement Session: Participants will review/ learn climbing movement including face and crack climbing techniques. Smearing, edging, finger locks, hand jams, flagging, gastons, and crimps. So much to learn oh my! This portion of the day will occur outside on real rock at the Holloway crag. 

 

Lowering/ Rappelling Session: How to get down! This section will cover how to safely be lowered from a two bolt anchor removing the top rope set up and being lowered by your partner. Also, we will learn how to set up an extended rappel and ways to manage risk when rappelling. 

Meet at 9:00AM at Rock Dimensions in Boone, NC

All proceeds will go towards paying off the land loan of Buckeye Knob, a 55 acre boulder field near Boone that is now open to your climbing enjoyment thanks to the CCC's purchase.
