A two day clinic, covering trad climbing skills and self rescue, with proceeds going towards paying off Buckeye Knob!

Come spend a Fall weekend learning how to build multi-component anchors with trad gear, climbing self-rescue, and how to avoid common climbing mishaps. This two day workshop will be taught by Michelle Tuday AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and Adrian Hurst AMGA Assistant Rock Guide/ SPI. Michelle and Adrian have also worked as Climbing Specialist for the North Carolina Outward Bound School for many years. Participants will break into groups of up to five with one instructor and set off to various climbing locations to learn and get some climbing in as well. Participants should be familiar with basic belay techniques and have at the minimum their own harness, helmet, and climbing shoes. A suggested gear list will be sent to participants. Some loaner equipment will be available.  This event is sponsored by American Alpine Club Boone Chapter. If you have questions please contact Adrian.

$150 per person will cover you for both days. This $150 is a donation to the CCC and will go towards their purchase of Buckeye Knob, a 55 acre boulder field near Boone, NC now open to your climbing enjoyment thanks to the CCC's purchase.
