Climbers help mitigate trampling of a rare species in Linville Gorge
For Public Lands Day, the Carolina Climbers Coalition and Wild South are working together to:
1. Maintain the section of the MST leading to and past the NC Wall and Amphitheater.
2. Protecting two endangered plants near the Chimneys. This is a continuation of the project started by our dear friend Kayah Gaydish, and will involve awesome teamwork moving rocks and transplanting rhodos. We look forward to working on this project in honor of Kayah and the rare species of Linville!
Come on out, we need you! Meet at 9:00 in the Table Rock parking lot. Bring water, closed toed shoes, food, gloves, loppers recommended.
