FAQs
What is Community Climbing?: Due to the nature of the festival and our crags, people will be climbing in close proximity to each other. We hope you're able to share beta, tips, and even share a rope! CCC board and staff does not provide any services for this activity other than offering beta on climbs if desired. If you do not have the skills to set up and lead climbs safely on your own, we urge you to take an educational clinic or hire a reputable guide service.
Rain/ cancellation/ refund?: In the event of a storm, we may cancel the event. We can not offer refunds, but your registration fee will be used to maintain and gain access to our many climbing areas.
Kid-friendly?: Yes, we love kids
Dog-friendly?: Dogs are not allowed at Hidden Valley
Will you be serving alcoholic beverages?: Yes, we will have beer by donation available during the vendor village portion of the event on Saturday night.
What's the climbing like?: Hidden Valley is well featured and steep sand stone, with climbs from 5.6-5.14. The greatest concentration of climbs are in the 5.11 range. There are nearly 400 established climbs at Hidden Valley. Most of these are sport lines, but some mixed and trad routes are also worth doing.
Where's the camping: put the address below in your GPS. You'll have to pull down a 1/2 mile dirt road to the camp site. This camp site is on private land, donated for the weekend by the owner. Please be respectful. And thank you Kyle King!
