Join a park ranger, Friends of Chimney Rock State Park volunteers, and CCC volunteers for a day of trail rehabilitation in the wake of the Party Rock Fire.

Because the Rumbling Bald trail was damaged by November's 7,154-acre Party Rock Fire, Chimney Rock State Park needs volunteers more than ever. As part of Chimney Rock State Park's Rogue Ranger Program, meet at the Rumbling Bald parking lot (off of Boys Camp Road in Lake Lure) by 9 a.m. on Sunday, January 15 for a half day of improvements. Come prepared with a sack lunch and closed-toed shoes. Bring work gloves and trail tools if you have them. In the afternoon, participants will have some time to climb.
