We are thankful to have such an incredible community to maintain and gain public wide access to such wonderful climbing spaces. Just this year, we have tallied nearly 5,000 hours of stewardship to maintain sustainable access to our crags, opened 3 new climbing areas, and have had the support of 792 annual CCC members. If you are a CCC member, supporter, or volunteer, we are thankful for your support of permanent and sustained climbing access in the Carolinas and beyond. If you care about access to wild places, and believe in our 27 year effort of expanded climbing access in the Carolinas, please consider becoming an annual member, donor, or volunteer. Photo above by Millsaps Creative. After nearly a year of construction, we were able to cut the red tape on the Chimney Rock Village Boulders Trail. Big thanks to Mayor Pritchett, Mayor O’Leary, Rutherford County TDA Director Don Cason, and Chimney Rock’s James Ledgerwood and Mary Yaeger Gale for speaking at the ribbon cutting and helping to make this new public access possible. We hope this new trail and bouldering area leads to more public access and conserved lands deeper into Hickory Nut Gorge, to serve generations to come. If you enjoy new access, please consider donating to our C4 trail team here. |
