Stop the Bolt Prohibition

The National Park Service and US Forest Service have released draft policies that would prohibit fixed anchors - bolts, pitons, and slings - in America's Wilderness areas. This is a huge blow to climbers that not only threatens America's climbing legacy, but puts the safety of our community at risk.

Take Action: the comment period for NPS policies has been extended to January 30th. Take 5 minutes to write the NPS through their respective portals. Access Fund has made the process easy, with comments to get your started. Personalized comments are best, so share those too!

Please fill out your Sauratown waiver before climbing, and consider making a contribution to the Sauratown Fund to help us pay our lease to Camp Hanes. Both are linked in our bio.
Each year, we pay a $5000 lease to YMCA Camp Hanes in order to have seasonal access at their Sauratown cliffs. The proceeds of the lease help provide scholarships to campers who normally would not have access to the camp experience. Many of Camp Hanes ~2600 annual campers receive financial assistance. We are proud that our lease helps send these kids to camp!
