Please fill out your Sauratown waiver before climbing, and consider making a contribution to the Sauratown Fund to help us pay our lease to Camp Hanes. Both are linked in our bio.
Each year, we pay a $5000 lease to YMCA Camp Hanes in order to have seasonal access at their Sauratown cliffs. The proceeds of the lease help provide scholarships to campers who normally would not have access to the camp experience. Many of Camp Hanes ~2600 annual campers receive financial assistance. We are proud that our lease helps send these kids to camp!

RARE SPECIES MONITORING

Peregrine Falcons

The CCC works closely with USFS and NC Wildlife Resource Commission biologists each year to ensure that peregrine falcon closures are accurate per eyrie sites, and help balance conservation of the species with reasonable access to climbing destinations. Thank you, climbers, for respecting these closure zones and for helping protect this amazing species.
