Peregrine Falcons

The US Forest Service collaborated with NC Wildlife and the CCC on this press release regarding our collaborative peregrine falcon conservation work. Read more here.

Black Stacks

Since 2019, the CCC has been working with Rocky Fork State Park to open and maintain climbing access at the Whitehouse Cliffs. The partnership has been so strong that the park has now agreed to open the Black Stacks to climbing once we complete some trail tasks! We anticipate an opening celebration in late spring. Join us for a trail day at Black Stacks!

Maibauer Boulders

Thanks to your support, we sent a $10,000 check to the Access Fund towards our Maibauer Boulders loan. We now have just $34,000 left to go on our loan! Please consider helping to save Maibauer Boulders by donating!

EXPLORE ACT (HR 6492) Passes the US House

Thanks to climbing voices like yours, and thanks to the leadership of the Access Fund, Outdoor Alliance, and many other advocacy groups, the EXPLORE act passed the US House this month. This Act helps us safeguard Wilderness climbing in areas like Linville Gorge Wilderness. Our nation-wide work is not done of course. Visit the Access Fund article here to learn more

Thank You Volunteers

Big thanks to all trail volunteers this month! We would not be able to sustain climbing access at our climbing destinations without your support. This month, we served Table Rock, Asheboro, Black Stacks, Raven Rock, Buffalo Creek, Big Rock, Pilot Rock, and Sauratown thanks to you and your support! Want to volunteer? Sign up here!
