Weaver Knob Boulders Temporary Closure Until Spring

The Weaver Knob Boulders are temporarily closed. Located within the Southeastern Trust's Bald Mountain Creek Preserve, the area is under construction for Yellow Winged Warbler habitat restoration. The habitat creation should be complete by late March 2023. Thank you for your patience! Nearby McKinney Gap Boulders are open for your enjoyment and are located within the same preserve but out of reach of the construction.

Partnership with Preserving a Picturesque America

The CCC has joined forces with talented local artists from Preserving a Picturesque America (PAPA) to create one-of-a-kind original pieces of art depicting the places we love and must protect in the Hickory Nut Gorge.

Half of the funds from the purchase of each piece of art go directly toward furthering the CCC's mission of protecting, preserving and expanding climbing in the Carolinas. The other half will go to supporting the artists.
