Hidden Valley is under an access advisory May 15-June 1 2020.
The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) notified us that they will be spraying for gypsy moths at Hidden Valley WMA beginning around May 15. This will be an aerial application by helicopter. The contractor will be using a larvicide derived from a natural bacteria called Btk. The schedule treatment areas are lands to the north and east of Hidden Valley climbing area. With prevailing winds, some of the treatment could enter the climbing area. Enter the climbing area at your own risk.
The camping at the lake at the end of the road will be closed during this time. Most of the WMA land will also be closed.
