Access Fund Supports the Hickory Creek Boulders

The Access Fund has confirmed a $2000 grant toward our continual invasive species control project at Hickory Creek Boulders. Just last year, we signed an agreement with the land owners at Hickory Creek Boulders and Raven Rock to open these areas to climbing. This access is not permanently protected and part of our access agreement is tied to our invasive species control work. Thanks to the Access Fund, we will be able to conduct a second phase of hiring EcoForesters to help control the highly invasive kudzu vine, with the goal of fostering growth of native species.
