Mosaic Climbing Update with FIND Outdoors Explorers Club
Earlier this month, we funded our second Mosaic equitable access climbing project in partnership with the FIND Outdoors Explorers Club, a free program offering 5th–6th graders in Western North Carolina monthly outdoor adventures from June through October. The Explorers Club helps students build confidence, curiosity, and environmental stewardship through activities like kayaking, rock climbing, camping, and more—all with gear, meals, and transportation provided.
In early September, the Explorers tackled Looking Glass Rock with guidance from the incredible Fox Mountain Guides. After a safety briefing and gearing up, some climbed for the first time, others multiple times, and every participant left with an unforgettable experience. Laughter, cheers, courage, and teamwork made the day truly special.
A huge thank you to FIND Outdoors and Fox Mountain Guides for partnering with us on this Mosaic adventure. If you want to learn more about the Explorers Club and their climbing adventure, check out pages 12-17 of FIND’s latest newsletter here.
Stay tuned for more updates from Mosaic, our equitable access climbing program—we’ve got big things coming in 2026!
