Open Board Positions

We are seeking two new board members: one for the South Carolina area and one for the Southern Piedmont area. Details about each position and how to apply are provided below:
 

Southern Piedmont Representative: This role involves managing stewardship and access-related communications with land managers and working with stakeholders to advance the CCC’s mission. Key climbing areas in this region include Crowders, Dixon, Asheboro, Stony Mountain Vineyard, and the Inner Peaks community. Responsibilities also include attending quarterly board meetings, participating in basic fundraising, and maintaining regular email correspondence. Ideal candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a passion for the local crags, a strong belief in the CCC's mission, experience with fundraising, and an in-depth knowledge of the area's climbing routes and boulders. Enthusiasm for uniting the Carolina climbing community is essential. Applications are due by September 10th.

South Carolina Representative: This position entails overseeing stewardship and access communications with land managers and collaborating with stakeholders to support the CCC’s mission. Key climbing areas in this region include Big Rock, Table Rock (within Table Rock State Park), Pumpkintown (also within Table Rock State Park), and the broader South Carolina climbing community. Responsibilities include attending quarterly board meetings, engaging in basic fundraising, and regularly checking email. Candidates should have strong communication skills, a love for the local climbing areas, a commitment to the CCC’s mission, experience with fundraising, and a thorough understanding of the region's climbing routes and boulders. Passion for fostering community among Carolina climbers is crucial. Applications are due by September 10th.
