The Sauratown Fund was created to ensure that climbing access and stewardship at Sauratown Mountain continue for generations to come. Thanks to Dr. Dave, the Fund is now endowed with a generous stock donation, meaning your gift today will have a lasting impact—supporting Sauratown now and strengthening access across the Carolinas into the future.

This year’s goal:

Help us meet Dr. Dave’s dollar-for-dollar match to fully cover this year’s $5000 lease for Sauratown climbing, keeping this Northern Piedmont climbing gem open and accessible.

More About How the Fund Works:

    •    Priority 1: Support the annual lease and stewardship needs at Sauratown Mountain—trail work, bolt replacement gear, and infrastructure improvements that keep the climbing experience safe and sustainable.

    •    Priority 2: Once Sauratown’s needs are met, the fund will help the CCC maintain and expand access and stewardship across other climbing areas in the region.

    •    Long-Term Impact: Designed to generate ongoing income for the CCC through Dr. Dave’s stock donation, the fund ensures continued care for the places we climb—year after year.
